All regular, full-time employees are eligible to enroll in the Momentive Software benefits plans on the first of the month following your date of hire.  You may also enroll your eligible dependents in medical, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance coverage.  Note that you as the employee must be enrolled in a benefit to cover your eligible dependents.    

Eligible Dependents include:

* Domestic Partners are not currently recognized by the IRS as dependents. Therefore, the portion of premiums your employer pays on behalf of your Domestic Partners must be taxed. This process is called “imputed income.” The imputed income resulting from Domestic Partner (and children of a Domestic Partner) coverage is deemed to be W2 wages. Applicable taxes will be withheld on the Domestic Partners benefits and all employee contributions for Domestic Partners must be made on a post-tax basis. 

Changing Your Benefits

Elections made as a new employee generally remain in force until the next Open Enrollment, which usually takes place in October or November, with changes effective on January 1 of the following year.  IRS pre-tax rules do not allow benefit changes outside of Open Enrollment unless you have a qualified change in status.  Qualified changes in status include:
